FRIDA'S DINNER

This menu is for those persons who wish to try a sampling of some of the dishes that were served by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo at their many fiestas.

TEQUILA

Of course it is optional but no proper dinner begins without a caballito of tequila or a margarita!

CREAM OF PEANUT SOUP The opening course at their Christmas dinners.

CHILE IN NOGADA

This stuffed pepper was originated in 1821. It is most often made during the month of September when chiles and pomegranates are at their peak. They are also served at weddings, Christmas and very festive occasions. We serve them cold.

Choose one of the following:

MOLE POBLANO

We make our mole using 25 different ingredients and serve it over chicken breast with rice and beans. There are many moles-from the black Oaxacan to the more middle of the road Poblano.
POLLO PIPIAN

A little more on the subtle side, a white sesame, almond and caper sauce served over chicken breast.
